Volunteer Opportunities

Auditor:  The auditor is responsible for the annual audit of the Baldwin PTSA expenses.  

Baldwin Fun Run Committee Chair:  The Baldwin Run is one of PTSA's major fundraising events and is tentatively scheduled for February. The Chair will work with an outside events organizer to plan, advertise, and execute the Baldwin Fun Run/Dance. 

Dad's Club Chair:  The Dad’s Club Chair is responsible for coordinating upkeep of the school grounds.

Dance Committee Chair:  The chair will work with PTSA volunteers to plan, advertise, execute, and chaperone the Baldwin dances, including coordinating the DJ and music, snacks, and drinks.  

Faculty Follies Committee Chair:  Faculty Follies is a teacher talent show and fundraiser traditionally held in October.  The chair will work with the Baldwin Administration, faculty PTSA representative, and PTSA volunteers to plan, advertise, and execute Faculty Follies. 

Fundraising Committee Chair:  The Chair will coordinate monthly fundraising “Spirit Nights” with local business and work with the Baldwin PTSA Board of Directors to develop a sponsorship program and solicit event sponsors from local businesses.

Hospitality Committee Chair:  The Chair plans and coordinates quarterly teacher luncheons, breakfasts and snacks, and teacher’s appreciation week. 

Library Coordinator:  The Coordinator is responsible for consulting with the Librarian to arrange schedules of volunteers to serve in the library.  

PTA Reflections Contest Coordinator:  Each year National PTSA holds an Arts competition called Reflections. Categories include Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography and Visual Arts. The Reflections Chair manages the competition for Baldwin to include:  advertising and soliciting submissions, recruiting volunteer judges, recognizing Baldwin winners and coordinating with county and state PTSA to forward on winner’s submissions.

Representative to Montgomery County Council PTA:  The Representative represents Baldwin PTSA at monthly Montgomery County Council PTA meetings.  

Spirit Store Coordinator:  The Coordinator is responsible for managing and fulfilling orders for Spirit Store.
